School Summary
Armstrong Elementary is fortunate to have a highly motivated, committed, and dedicated staff. Staff members work in a collaborative environment to support students and to encourage them to reach their fullest potential. This inclusive and supportive environment helps all students to master concepts, develop skills, and formulate values necessary for living in a rapidly changing world. Students participate in instructional activities that reflect and support the Virginia Standards of Learning and the Fairfax County Program of Studies. Teachers work cooperatively with parents in support of the students as they develop positive self-images and make informed decisions free from bias and peer pressure. A safe environment where all students are included, respected, and appreciated is provided and staff members work together with the PTA to insure that “all children move forward.”
