School Summary
Annandale Terrace Elementary School is a neighborhood school serving an international community. The support and involvement of families, business partners, and community members is encouraged. The goals meet the unique needs of every student in an inclusive setting.
Our learning environment is enriched as we celebrate our diversity and focus on our similarities. A strong Parent Teacher Association (PTA) provides new and exciting experiences for our students through fieldtrips, assemblies, volunteerism, and after-school programs. Weekly parent coffees and evening workshops give us opportunities for sharing information and realizing true communication.
Annandale Terrace staff members and families have high expectations for academic achievement. Staff members have created a learning environment that meets the needs of each child with a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and mathematics programs.
We are committed to helping each child find his or her special talents and interests. Mentoring, tutoring, and after-school programs extend learning opportunities for students. Business partners, community members, and volunteers provide additional support for teachers and students.
Annandale Terrace has a long history of emphasizing the importance of citizenship in a learning community. Character attributes of respect, responsibility, empathy, building confidence, tolerance, speaking up, courage and honesty are integrated into every aspect of the school day.
