School Summary
Beech Tree Elementary is a community school that strives to meet the needs of students as well as families. We create programs to meet the needs of our students rather than sending them off to other area schools. This sense of community is enhanced through the Responsive Schools Approach we are implementing throughout the school.
Parents and families are very important to our success. We provide parenting programs, opportunities for discussion with the administration, and involvement in the school improvement planning process. Parents and staff have also been involved in the planning phase of upcoming renovation. Renovation construction is scheduled to begin in April of 2010.
Team Leaders act as the school’s governing body, creating an instructional atmosphere that fosters open discussion and joint problem-solving. The focus of learning extends to students, staff, parents, and the community as a whole.
