School Summary
Freedom Hill Elementary School has served the rapidly changing Tysons Corner area since 1949, successfully adapting to the dramatic changes in the community. At present, the student body represents more than 40 nations.
Using the Professional Learning Communities, teams composed of teachers and staff members identify needs and areas of academic focus for investigation and implementation. Underlying these efforts are the following core beliefs:
All children have the ability to learn. Continuous improvement is necessary for success. Cooperation promotes learning. A safe, trusting environment is necessary for students to feel free to take risks and to become independent thinkers. Partnerships between school and community shape stronger students.
