Marshall High, Acacia Federal Savings Bank Plan Partnership Kickoff

Marshall High School will formally kick off its business partnership with Acacia Federal Savings Bank on Wednesday, May 17, at 9 a.m. Marshall High School is a Fairfax County public school.

As Marshall’s business partner, Acacia plans to offer a series of money management seminars to all Marshall seniors during the school year and will also offer seminars for parents on financing college, purchasing a home, and managing personal budgets. The bank plans to provide speakers for the school’s freshman retreat, to support DECA prep sessions and Ethics Day, and to host SAT practice exams. Scholarships and a possible summer internship at the bank will also be offered.

Students in the culinary arts program at Marshall will cater a breakfast for guests.

Marshall High School is ranked 198 th on the list of 1000 Best High Schools in America that appeared in the May 8 issue of Newsweek . The list is compiled from a formula created by Washington Post education reporter Jay Mathews that calculates how well a high school challenges its students. Ninety-three percent of Marshall students pursue postsecondary education.
