FCPS Solicits Input at Community Dialogues on Student Discipline

The Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Ad Hoc Community Committee on Student Rights and Responsibilities will hold five Community Dialogue meetings in February to solicit input from parents, employees, and community members. The committee is looking for input and feedback on current FCPS disciplinary practices and will discuss its preliminary recommendations to the Fairfax County School Board for changes to the Student Rights and Responsibilities handbook. 

The Community Dialogue meetings will be held on the following dates: 

  • Monday, February 4, 7 to 9 p.m., Hayfield Secondary School Lecture Hall.        
  • Tuesday, February 5, 7 to 9 p.m., Stuart High School Student Commons.
  • Tuesday, February 5, 7 to 9 p.m., Westfield High School Lecture Hall.    
  • Thursday, February 7, 7 to 9 p.m., McLean High School Cafeteria.
  • Saturday, February 23, 1 to 3 p.m., Falls Church High School Little Theater.
Spanish and Korean interpreters will be available at each meeting. Citizens interesting in attending the Community Dialogue meetings are asked to register online. Registration is not required but will help in planning the meetings.
