Holiday Shopping and Community Expo Returns to Marshall High School
Marshall High School’s Class of 2013 will host its third annual Holiday Shopping and Community Expo on Saturday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Marshall High School is a Fairfax County public school.
This marketplace-style event, created as an alternative to mall shopping, features over 40 upscale vendors who will offer a number of items for sale, including accessories, apparel, fashion jewelry, ornaments and wreaths, and a wide variety of other products.
Entertainment will be provided by the Marshall High School Chorus, Orchestra, and Dance Team, and the James School of Dance Arts. Food will be available from two food trucks, Good Grubbin’ and Ooh Dat Chicken.
Santa is scheduled to arrive at 11 a.m., and will be available in his workshop for pictures, which will be taken by members of the Marshall High School Photography Club.
There will be a raffle for prizes such as restaurant gift cards, iTunes gift cards, hotel stays, movie passes, comedy shows, and prizes from the vendors.
The first 100 attendees of the Holiday Shopping and Community Expo will receive a free shopping bag.The Expo is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Marshall High Class of 2013. Visit the Expo’s Facebook page and follow it on Twitter at @gcmholidayexpo.
Admission is $2, and attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Capital Area Food Bank.
