West Potomac Academy Fashion Design Instructor to be Featured in Shoot for Change

Maggy François, West Potomac Academy Fashion Design instructor, is one of 15 individuals from nonprofit organizations to be featured in Shoot for Change’s black and white photo exhibition on Wednesday, November 16, at the L2 Lounge in Washington, D.C. West Potomac Academy is one of six high school academies in Fairfax County Public Schools.

Featuring photographs by Walter Grio—who has been working with West Potomac Academy Fashion Design students for the past few years to build their professional portfolios—the show features nonprofit leaders who have been transformed to look like classic movie stars. Each of the participants has also written an essay on what inspires him or her to do what he or she does and to keep doing it.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the West Potomac Academy Fashion Design program and other nonprofit organizations that were invited to participate..
