Friday, March 25, 2011 Fairfax County School Board to Refund Fees for AP, IB Tests The Fairfax County School Board has voted to refund approximately $2 million in fees collected from Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) families for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) tests. The action is being taken in response to a January 28 opinion by Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli “that a local school board cannot impose a mandatory fee on students taking advanced placement courses for the required taking of the Advanced Placement Examination.” ###
